Mio Infante
Scenography & Theatre Design
Mio is happy to be designing for Ballet Manila once again. Previously he did the set design for Rebel, Cinderella, and Snow White.
He designs for theatre, dance, television, live concerts, and corporate industrials. He finished his Master of Arts in Scenography / Theatre Design at the Wimbledon School of Art in London (1997) after gaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design at the University of the Philippines (1991). Born in Manila, Mio has worked with most of the major theatre companies and production houses in the Philippines. He was the 1999-2000 Grantee of the Asian Cultural Council – Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
His work on Rak of Aegis (PETA) was jury selected for exhibition at the 2017 World Stage Design in Taipei, Taiwan; and his work for The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (Trumpets) was published in the book World Scenography 1999-2007. His costume designs for Beauty and the Beast and Bluebird of Happiness were also featured in Costumes at the Turn of the Century, which was exhibited at the Barushkin Central Stage Theatre Museum in Moscow and then in Beijing in 2016.

He serves as the Education Commission chair for PATDAT OISTAT Philippines (Organisation Internationale des Scenographes, Techniciens et Architects du Theatre). Mio is managing partner at Sceneshop, Inc., an events-activation-design company, and Associate Artistic Director at 9Works Theatrical.
